Men charged with breaking into home

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS - Two men have been arrested for allegedly breaking into a home on County Highway 1883 early Sunday and terrorizing its residents.

William Howard Curry, 25, of Ponce De Leon and Shawn Bradley Holloway, 26, of Westville, shot and kicked down the door of the home about 12:45 a.m., according to their arrest reports. Inside the home were a 2-year-old girl and 2-month-old boy.

Curry pointed his shotgun at a man at the home and told him he would “blow his head off,” according to the reports.

Holloway, the father of one of the female adult victim’s children, hit the woman in the mouth with a .22 pistol and caused minor injuries, the report stated.

Curry has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, burglary with assault or battery, and armed burglary of a dwelling, structure or conveyance. He was taken to Walton County Jail on no bond.

Holloway has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, battery, weapons offence, burglary with assault or battery, burglary of a dwelling structure, or conveyance armed, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. He was taken to Walton County Jail with a $600,000 bond.

Neither man had been released from jail as of Wednesday.
