DEFUNIAK SPRINGS - A 32-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning after residents of a home on North 12th Street called DeFuniak Springs police when they heard someone trying to enter their home through a side window, according to a department press release.

Police searched the area and found the suspect, Rodney Robinson, inside a vacant home nearby, according to the release. He ran from officers but was caught.

In a backpack near the window Robinson tried to open, officers found prescription pills, burglary tools, and narcotic equipment/paraphernalia, according to the release. The pills had been reported stolen on Tuesday.
