NICEVILLE – A local man was arrested after he was found driving a rental car he hadn’t rented, and had drugs in his possession.
Niceville Police pulled over 38-year-old Juan Carlos Rejo-Bautista for driving 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.
The police discovered he didn’t have a valid license and was not on the rental agreement for the car. The rental agency asked that the car be towed.
When lawmen searched the car, they found pills hidden in a pack of cigarettes. The pills were identified as buprenorphine.
Rejo-Bautista was charged with possession of a controlled substance. His plea date is Aug. 13.
