FORT WALTON BEACH - An 18-year-old who taunted his mother's boyfriend, then punched him in the face, has been arrested by Fort Walton Beach Police.
On Dec. 7 the two men got into an argument, the nature of which wasn't disclosed on the arrest report. The 18-year-old, who was drunk, started yelling at his mother, which awakened her boyfriend. When the boyfriend confronted the 18-year-old, he "squared up" on the older man and taunted him to fight, the officer wrote in the arrest report. The argument continued outside and the 18-year-old took a swing at the older man until he was wrestled to the ground. The older man told the teen to leave, and he did.
The man and his girlfriend were sitting in the kitchen when the 18-year-old suddenly opened the door and taunted the man to fight again. When the man approached, the young man punched him in the face. The man pushed the 18-year-old down two stairs and into the driveway.
The 18-year-old was charged with battery and has a Dec. 26 court date.
