NICEVILLE – A Fort Walton Beach woman is accused of threatening to run over a man in a dispute over property of hers she said he had.
On March 27 Niceville Police went to a Government Avenue residence to investigate a disturbance. They were asked to expedite their response after a caller said a woman was trying to run over somebody in her vehicle.
The officer who wrote the arrest report said that when he arrived he found 33-year-old Natalie Leann Jarrett sitting in her car with the motor running. The alleged victim met the officer in the parking lot.
He said Jarrett was told to leave by other lawmen but returned later and continued to argue with him over property of hers she said he had. As he tried to walk away, Jarrett allegedly followed him in her car. When the man asked a neighbor to borrow her phone, Jarrett backed up toward the two of them, causing them to run between a Dumpster and the building to keep from being hit.
Jarrett was charged with aggravated assault. Her court date is May 14.
