CRESTVIEW – An 18-year-old who repeatedly called 911 for non-emergencies was arrested by Crestview Police.
According to an arrest report, the man made the following calls to 911 on Feb. 2:
At 2:57 p.m. he called 911 to ask for help in finding a place to stay. The dispatcher warned him not to use 911 for such issues.
At 4:34 he called 911 and asked for help in getting transportation back to South Carolina. Once again, he was warned against frivolous use of 911 services.
Almost immediately, he called 911 again and again asked for help in finding a ride back to South Carolina. He was taken into custody.
The charge was misuse of 911 or E911, a misdemeanor.
His court date is Feb. 26.
