OKALOOSA ISLAND — Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill will open its new two-story restaurant Friday.
It opens for lunch and dinner starting at 11 a.m. in the old Daddy’s Money building on the north side of U.S. Highway 98.
“It’s a relief. There’s a lot of excitement and we’ve been really looking forward to this day,” said Tim Edwards, one Fudpucker’s owners. “It’s nice finally get it open.”

Fudpucker’s closed its restaurant on Santa Rosa Boulevard in September after more than 25 years.
The new location will boast two restaurants initially. The traditional Fudpucker’s will be on the second floor and feature the same menu as the Destin location. Fudpuckeroni’s, a sports bar that will specialize in pizza, wings and other bar food will share the ground floor with Fat Daddy Arcade.
A steam shack and raw bar called Fudshucker’s is expected to open in March on the back side on Choctawhatchee Bay.
Fudpucker’s has hosted three special events in recent weeks to prepare for today’s general opening.
