FORT WALTON BEACH - A 45-year-old man was caught Wednesday night inside a convenience store with a hammer, flashlight, screwdriver and gloves.

The doors were locked and the lights were out at the Corner Food Market at 100 Bob Sikes Road in Wright, but one window was broken when deputies pulled up about 11 p.m., according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest report.

Inside, deputies found David Eugene Vaughn of Fort Walton Beach hiding in a hole in the wall between the food market and an adjoining unit.

Vaughn was charged with two counts of unarmed burglary without a person inside and one count of possession of burglary tools.
