CRESTVIEW - A woman who refused to open a door for lawmen who were looking for her boyfriend was herself with obstruction without violence.
On Dec. 17 Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputies arrived at an Oakland Avenue residence after learning a felony warrant suspect was living there.
When they arrived they announced their presence and knocked on doors and windows. The woman looked out the window several times but refused to answer the door.
Deputies stood outside 20 minutes waiting for the door to be opened. Finally, the felony warrant suspect came out and was arrested.
Then, it was the woman's turn. She was charged with resisting an officer - obstruction without violence, a misdemeanor. Her court date is Jan. 15.
