Benefit concert
FORT WALTON BEACH — Hollywood Church of God in Christ announces its third annual free Holiday Benefit Concert featuring the Pensacola band True Redemption at 7 tonight.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The church is at 122 Hollywood Blvd.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit Hollywood Church of God in Christ’s Community Kitchen and Toys for Tots Literacy Program for Fort Walton Beach. A free-will offering will be received.
A reception will follow the concert. Call 757-965-4656.

Trinity services
FORT WALTON BEACH — Trinity United Methodist Church will have only one Church Service on Dec. 30.
It will be at 10 a.m., and there will be no Sunday School classes on that date.

FWB Aglow
FORT WALTON BEACH — It’s time for Fort Walton Beach Aglow, with speaker Debra Kearney, on Jan. 10 at Marina Bay Resort, 80 Miracle Strip Parkway.

Kearney of Niceville serves on the Northwest Florida Aglow Area Team as vice president of financial development. She is a dynamic teacher who delivers a concise, relevant, cutting-edge word from God with love, joy and compassion.

Watch-Night Service
OKALOOSA ISLAND — Several area churches will hold a Watch-Night Service starting at 10 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center.
The Rev. S.L. Thigpen, pastor of Beulah 1st Baptist Church, will speak.
Participating churches include: Faith Sanctuary of Praise, Hollywood Church of God in Christ, New Hope Christian Center, Eglin Gospel Service, The House of the Lord, New Zion Tabernacle, Striving for Perfection Ministries, Beulah 1st Baptist, Mercy Seat, Greater Peace Baptist, Sylvania Heights and Gregg Chapel A.M.E, which is the 2012 host.

New Year’s Eve
SHALIMAR — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1 Meigs Dr., will hold a New Year’s Eve service at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 31 with Communion. Call 651-1022.

Vision Church
SANTA ROSA BEACH – Vision Church @ Christian International will have an altered holiday schedule with a special service New Year’s Eve.
The New Year’s Eve service will begin at 8:30 p.m. and end with a reception to welcome in the New Year at midnight. Dr. Bill Hamon, founder of Christian International Ministries, will be the guest speaker at the New Year’s Eve service.
Sunday morning services will continue at 10 a.m. as usual, but no Wednesday or Friday services will be held until Jan. 4. Church offices will be closed Dec. 24 – Jan. 2.

‘Blue Sky Living’
SANTA ROSA BEACH — “Blue Sky Living!” is the title of a talk to be given Jan. 3 to the Emerald Coast Meditation Society by Terry Ingraham, a wellness life coach.
The meeting will start with a 30-minute meditation at 6:30 p.m. at 480 N. Co. Hwy. 393, one-half mile north of U.S. 98. The ECMS is ecumenical and does not follow any religion. There is no charge.
The evening will conclude with a short guided meditation. Anyone who needs meditation instruction should arrive by 6:15 p.m. Email nancyjames@embarqmail.com.
