LAUREL HILL - A 41-year-old Milton woman was arrested after she allegedly got drunk, went to her soon-to-be ex-husband's house, broke glass, slapped him in the face, punched him in the face, and punched him in the gut.
On Nov. 30 an Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy went to a Southern Comfort Drive residence about a family disturbance. There, he found a bloody mess - literally. The alleged attacker, the victim, the driveway, and the house were covered in blood.
The man said his son came into the house and told him his mother was outside. "The defendant and victim are going through a heated, volatile divorce and the defendant rarely resides at their shared residence," the deputy wrote in the arrest report.
The man went outside and told the woman to leave because she was drunk, or he'd call the law on her.
"The (defendant) then went crazy and ran into the residence," the deputy wrote. She broke some glass and cut her hand in the process, then ran outside. Meanwhile, the man called 9-1-1.
While he was on the phone, she ran back inside, where she was again told to leave. She swung on him, hitting him multiple times on the face, chest and head.
Their son told the deputy he came home and found his mother sitting in the driveway. She was "drunk." He went inside and told his father. Some time later he heard glass breaking. He walked around the corner and saw glass on the ground and blood "all over the place." He saw his mother hitting his father.
The deputy wrote the woman's hand was bloody, and there was blood in the driveway and throughout the house. The man was covered in blood, but he wasn't injured.
The woman "appeared to be under the influence of either drugs and/or alcohol; she was very hard to understand and (was) uncooperative."
She was charged with misdemeanor battery.
