GASKIN - A barn was destroyed in a fire after it was struck by lightning Friday evening, according to Walton County Fire Rescue.
The fire spread to another barn on the property on the 600 block of County Road 2 West, Fire Chief Brian Coley said.
Firefighters from Walton County and Liberty were able to bring the second blaze under control to keep that barn from being destroyed, Coley said.
No one was hurt.
