PAXTON - Walton County sheriff's deputies are investigating the suspicious death of a woman on Clear Springs Road.
Deputies were called to the scene Friday afternoon, Sheriff’s Capt. Audie Rowell said Saturday. He could not say who found the woman, when she was found or exactly where the body was discovered.
A clear cause of death could not be determined, Rowell said.
“It could be a natural death, we just don’t know,” Rowell said.
An autopsy will be performed Monday, he said.
Investigators interviewed a person of interest, but no arrest had been made as of Saturday afternoon, Rowell said.
Investigators collected items related to the woman’s death, according to news release from the Sheriff’s Office. Rowell could not say what those items were.
