LETTER: I am so afraid

For the first time in my life, I feel afraid of our government, and I’m 77 years old. Nobody in Congress or all of Washington seems to have nerve enough to put a stop to all the hubris and excrement-of-toro coming out of the White House.
Amnesty for all aliens, gun “control”/confiscation, mucking around with the Internet, “executive orders” (even while Congress isn’t in recess), bailouts (for Big Business buddies), Social Security for aliens and on and on, while the United States gets deeper and deeper in debt and more and more despised and laughed at by the world.
I am really depressed and anxious about the future of the nation and about the Department of Homeland Security buying up millions of rounds of hollow-point ammunition.
Those people having nerve enough to pass an Internet tax seem to have watched too many “reality” shows on the telly and have lost contact with real life. Tax-and-spend, tax-and-spend seems to be their sole motivation these days, with real-life problems of no concern to them.
