The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a complaint that a woman was sexually battered April 30 at Leo Norred Park off Poplar Avenue in Poquito Bayou.
The woman said she had a fight with her boyfriend and went to the park between 3:30 and 4 a.m. to smoke cigarettes, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
She said that when she was leaving a man grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.
Deputies canvassed the neighborhood but found no suspects.
The woman described the man as white and tanned, short, 40 to 50 years old and wearing a black T-shirt and possibly jeans.
