CRESTVIEW — A man arrested last month for sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation and child neglect now faces more charges.
Mason Wesley Furniss, 40, of Crestview, has been charged with five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of felony child neglect, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Furniss gave teenage girls alcoholic beverages and marijuana in August 2012 and January 2013, the Sheriff’s Office reported. At those times, Furniss asked the teenagers to kiss each other and said he wanted to have sex with them, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
In September 2012, investigators said Furniss was allowing the teens to drink alcohol when one of the girls fell off the back of his pickup truck and hurt her back, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
Another time, he took the teens to a swimming pool and allowed them to drink there. A girl who could not swim became so intoxicated she jumped into the deep end of the pool. Other teens had to pull her out.
Furniss was charged March 22 with sexually molesting a teenage girl on several occasions between December 2012 and February 2013.
He is scheduled to appear in court May 28 in Crestview.
