If the city of Destin, the state Department of Environmental Protection and the Army Corps of Engineers have agreed on a new plan for keeping the mouth of the harbor and East Pass open, I will support their professional opinion based on science over the opinion of two attorneys and all the people they have stirred up.
I believe the city of Destin is much more concerned about keeping the state’s largest fishing fleet operating smoothly than the residents of Okaloosa Island are.
There are two sides to every argument. Unfortunately, Okaloosa Island residents have heard only one side as presented by people who argue for a living. I will support the pros, not the cons.
