The Department of Environmental Protection’s Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, the University of Florida IFAS Extension, Florida Sea Grant, and Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invite the public to the 5th Annual Walton County Earth Day Festival & 5K Race on April 20.
The day of activities will kick off with an Ocean Hour Beach Clean-Up at 9 A.M. The festival starts at 10 A.M.
This free event will include: children’s activities, educational games, cooking demos, guided hikes, food and fun for all ages. Many agencies, local organizations, and area businesses will be on hand to educate and entertain festival-goers.
The Earth Day Sunset 5K Race will start at 5 P.M. with a post-race celebration including a star gazing opportunity led by the Northwest Florida Astronomy Association to end the evening.
