SANTA ROSA BEACH — A 39-year-old man from Santa Rosa Beach was issued two charges after causing a rollover wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and County Road 393 Monday morning.
James Matthew Murray II attempted to turn off westbound U.S. 98 onto southbound CR 393 about 7:20 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He failed to see an eastbound car on U.S. 98 that had entered the intersection.
He crashed into the car, sending it spinning onto the sidewalk. The car rolled over and into a ditch.
The driver of the car, Holly Shenae Brown, 20 of Molino, was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital of the Emerald Coast for observation, the FHP reported.
Murray was charged with violation of right-of-way and failure to yield to thru traffic.
