FORT WALTON BEACH — A 28-year-old motorcyclist died from injuries he suffered in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Mary Esther Cut-Off.
Officials have identified Richard Agyekum Fofie, of Gulf Breeze, as the victim of Wednesday's afternoon wreck, according to a press release from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department.
Alan Shaw of Mary Esther was turning left from Mary Esther Cut-Off into Sun Plaza shopping center about 1:20 p.m. when his Cadillac collided with the southbound motorcyclist, said Capt. Darrell Bruhn, with the police department.
Fofie, an airman at Hurlburt Field, was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. It is not known if he was pronounced dead at the scene or at the hospital.
Shaw was not injured.
Charges are pending, according to Bruhn. There was no indication that alcohol was involved.
