NWF State women wrap up share of Panhandle Conference title

For the first time in 17 years, the Northwest Florida State women’s basketball team will hoist a conference championship banner.

Kiani Parker delivered 23 points, six assists and five rebounds, Tavarsha Scott had 14 points and nine rebounds, and the Raiders wrapped up the Pandhandle Conference slate at 9-3 with a 68-62 win at Tallahassee Tuesday night.

“I was very happy for our ladies,” NWF State coach Patrick Harrington said. “It was total team effort and to finish 9-3 in this conference is tremendous. You think about it, we played nine ranked opponents in 12 games. To finish 9-3 says a lot about our team.”

“I told our kids tonight to enjoy it, let it sink in. It’s just the first step in our journey to achieving our goal of becoming national champions.”

Carla Batchelor added 11 rebounds, five assists and five rebounds and Luiana Livulo chipped in 12 points for the Raiders, who end the regular season 24-3
