NICEVILLE - Sometimes the crime rate in Niceville is unbearable.
Make that un "bear" able.
Such was the case on Jan. 13 when Niceville Police received a call from an Evergreen Avenue resident who said there was a bear at the back door trying to get in.
Police called an officer with the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission, who said they should scare it off and he would contact resident the next day.
Seconds later, police learned the bear had left the yard and was last seen running onto a nearby golf course.
As you probably know, the consequences of missing your tee time can also be unbearable.
Case closed.
