CRESTVIEW - A man who carried a gun and a baseball bat into a restaurant has been arrested by Crestview Police.
On Dec. 22 a person reported seeing the man walk through the Azteca Restaurant with a silver revolver.
The man told police he entered the restaurant carrying a baseball bat and a handgun to confront a patron who has been "causing trouble" with the employees.
He said he'd previously filed a report about the individual, and when police told him there was nothing to pursue he decided "to take matters into his own hands," the officer wrote in the arrest report.
When he heard the individual was at the restaurant, his intent was to "beat his a--."
The individual wasn't identified.
The man said as he was leaving the restaurant the revolver fell from his pocket and somebody present saw it.
He was charged with carrying a prohibited weapon openly and has a Jan. 29 court date.
