With its opening on Dec. 1, 2012, Destin Auto Rentals offers high-end, luxury vehicle leases, but the luxury doesn’t end with the set of wheels.
“We offer a service where I can go to the airport or to the hotel and bring the vehicle to you,” said operations manager Jeff Blair.
“From that service alone, people can get on with their vacation without waiting in line,” he added, noting that “sometimes there’re extraordinary needs to a customer that you forget about.”
The Destin Auto Rentals fleet includes BMWs, Mercedes and even a Maserati Quattroporte. The fleet’s Mercedes Sprinter passenger van seats 12.
“Just because you need to transport a large group doesn’t mean you can’t ride in something nice,” Blair said.
With its online booking service, clients line up vehicles well in advance of a vacation, but locals may find the service beneficial as well.
Blair described the vehicles as being a nice way to treat the special person in their life to a romantic date night.
“It’s an experience, it’s a memory,” he said.

Furniture & Bedding Liquidators made a short but significant move from a smaller storefront to a larger one in September 2012, and now it has more room to serve customers with its selection of closeout or slightly distressed furniture.
“Everything we have is from Macy’s,” Rebecca Richardson said. “We’ve got lots of furniture, bedroom suits, end tables.”
She added that the distress might be a small blemish like a smudge. Of course, the shop still offers its selection of well-priced, national name brand mattresses.
With its proximity to Eglin Air Force Base, Richardson said the shop often caters military personnel, particularly students of the explosive ordinance school.
“Of course, we’re glad to serve them,” she said, adding that military and government employees such as teachers, law enforcement officers and firefighters receive a discount.
Keep in mind, this is true outlet shopping. If you don’t find what you need today, wait a few more days. What you want may arrive with a great price tag.
