President Obama surrounding himself with children while announcing his gun-control proposals is the epitome of demagoguery. The message is obvious — if you’re against my measures, you want to endanger children. Adding insult to injury, taxpayers coughed up much-needed dollars to accumulate and transport these kids, who should’ve been in school, to this fiasco.
At least Obama used real children for this event. When he was pitching Obamacare, he used regular folks dressed up like doctors.
We all want to protect the innocent and helpless, but removing a handgrip on a rifle or limiting a magazine size will do nothing to keep these incidents from occurring. The focus should be on mental health and reducing violence in video games, music and movies.
